LIM SAS, LIM LOGGING LIM GROUP LIM SAS was incorporated in 1985 near Lyon in France, by Mr. Frédéric Malinet , a geologist. The LIM SAS corporate objects are the design, manufacture and marketing of measuring instruments and software applied to drilling for following purposes, geotechnical, special foundations, drill and blast, mining and hydrogeological exploration. To complete its product offering, on January 1, 2017 LIM SAS integrated Electromind , a company based in Luxembourg and specialized in the development, manufacture and marketing of logging (borehole geophysical) equipment. Electromind became LIM LOGGING. Beyond the simple design of measuring instruments, by offering hardware and software, LIM is positioned as a provider of complete solutions for the measurement and acquisition of drilling data, whether during drilling or in boreholes after their completion. LIM SAS & LIM LOGGING ’s main business areas are Special Foundations, Geotechnics, Hydrogeology, Mining and Extractive Industries as well as Underground Work (Tunnels). • Full Waveform Sonic probe | LIM LOGGING

The FWS60 transmits to the surface the full sonic waveform arriving at each receiver during a user-configurable sampling window. FWS60: Fullwave Sonic The advantage of the FWS60 tool is that it digitises and transmits to the surface the full sonic waveform arriving at each receiver during a user-configurable sampling window. For each receiver the user can choose one of three sampling periods to optimise the acquisition according to the application and/or formation characteristics. The sonic waveform data provided by the FWS60 has many applications: these include the determination of formation mechanical properties, fracture analysis, permeability and porosity estimation and cement bond assessment. • Gamma ray / radiation probe | LIM LOGGING

The GR38 measure the relative naturally occurring radiation adjacent to the well hole providing well-run correlation and lithological identification. GR38 & GR25: Natural Gamma Radioactivity In addition to its primary role as a lithological or clay indicator , a Natural Gamma measurement is frequently used as the basis for establishing correlations between boreholes and to ensure accurate depth matching between different logging runs made in the same borehole. For these reasons, many LIM LOGGING probes provide this measurement as an additional log along with other parameters. The GR38 & GR25 probes provide a solution for cases where only a basic, total counts natural gamma log is required. Based on a ø25 x 50 mm NaI(Tl) and ø12.7 x 50 mm NaI(Tl) scintillation crystal detectors coupled to a high-performance photomultiplier tube, the probes boast excellent sensitivity (±1.2 cps / API unit) and provide a high quality final result. Our ScanLIM LIBS option project aims to combine, in a single tool, high-precision optical digitisation for the geologist and the metal content of drill cores for the miner, by miniaturising the data. high-precision optical digitisation for the geologist and the metal content of drill cores for the miner in a single tool, by miniaturising LIBS (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) technology. ScanLIM LIBS - JV LIM-ABLATOM Our ScanLIM LIBS option project aims to combine high-precision optical digitisation for the geologist and the metal content of drill cores for the miner by miniaturising LIBS (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) technology. The economic aim of our project is to make this dual tool (optical and LIBS technology) transportable, so as to reduce sample (core) analysis times by being as close as possible to the drilling machine. All that will be required is a basic shelter such as a site core box with a power source. This proximity between the core extraction site and the on-site optical and LIBS analysis of the samples will save time and money, as it avoids the need to send all or part of the core boxes to the Chemical Analysis Laboratory to obtain the desired results.
