- Dual Induction Probe | LIM LOGGING
The DIL38 induction conductivity probe generates an electromagnetic field and provide two simultaneous conductivity logs. DIL38: Double Induction The DIL38 induction conductivity probe generates an electromagnetic field in the vicinity of the borehole and measures the response of the formations to this applied field. On both long (ILD) and medium spacing (ILM) receivers in-phase and quadrature measurements are taken and digitised by the probe electronics for transmission to the surface equipment. In this way both formation conductivity and magnetic susceptibility data can obtained, even in dry or PVC equipped boreholes. The relatively low operating frequency and the design of the coil array combine to minimise borehole effects and maximise both depth of investigation and vertical resolution. - Borehole Acoustic Televiewer casing thickness option | LIM LOGGING
The BHTV42 acoustic imaging probe or acoustic televiewer with casing thickness option is used to measure the thickness of a drill casing. It uses a rotating transceiver mounted at the lower end of the tool, which sends a beam of highly focused ultrasonic pulses towards the borehole wall (up to 360 times per pulse). BHTV 42: Televiewer Acoustic Wall Imaging. Casing Thickness option BHTV 42: Casing Thickness option The BHTV42CT builds on the industry-reference BHTV42 standard acoustic televiewer probe by adding a casing thickness measurement for cased-hole inspections. As well as recording the primary echo from the inner casing surface, the subsequent parts of the signal returning to the probe are analysed for the repeating signals corresponding to the energy being re-emitted after having traversed the casing itself in both the outward and inward directions.
