DTN38, Dual Neutron thermal probe, neutron neutron, dual neutron. DTN38: Dual Thermal Neutron The standard DTN38 probe provides long-(LSN) and short-spaced(SSN) 4π thermal neutron measurements. Since the probe reacts strongly to hydrogen content, the principal application of this method is for formation water content (porosity) measurement. As an option (highly recommended), the probe can be supplied with a natural g amma detector to permit the influence of clay content on the results to be evaluated. Useful when the probe is deployed for through-tubing oil/water/air contact measurements, a casing collar locator (CCL) detector is also available as a factory-fitted option for this probe. PDS, Probe Deployment System, Borehole logging horizontal boreholes, Borehole logging upward boreholes. PDS: Probe Deployment System The PDS allows OPTV and BHTV imaging probes and certain other types of probe to be deployed in steeply inclined, horizontal or up-holes, where assistance from a drilling machine is required. It has been successfully used in boreholes exceeding 400 m in length. The main housing containing the probe is manufactured from aluminium and the standard kit includes 2 x 2 m aluminium rods to allow imaging probes to operate in non magnetically disturbed conditions. A variety of nose cones, adapted to different types of probe, and housing centraliser blades for boreholes of up to 150 mm diameter can be supplied. Behind the housing the logging cable runs along the outside of the drill rods (AQ or BQ recommended). The drill rod adapter incorporates a centraliser to support the weight of the drill string. A precise depth measurement is obtained using the lateral movement of the drilling machine’s drive head. Contact us to get a quote or request more information. - Borehole Deviation probe | LIM LOGGING
The BDV probe is designed to provide continuous measurement of borehole inclination and azimuth. BDV42: Deviation du Forage The BDV42 probe is used to determine the exact drilled trajectory of a borehole in the subterranean space. Boreholes drilled close to infrastructure such as cables or tunnels can be surveyed before reaching the critical point. Another application of this method lies in water well quality control by ensuring that well deviation and curvature criteria are met so that problems with lowering pumps and other equipment can be avoided. The probe is based on a high-precision c ombination magnetometer and accelerometer sensor providing a continuous measurement of borehole inclination and azimuth. Because of the resulting magnetic disturbance, reliable azimuth data can not be obtained in steel-cased wells or in iron-rich geological formations. - 4 Arms Caliper probe | LIM LOGGING
4AC 4AC60 : Four-arm caliper probe The 4AC60 borehole geometry probe incorporates two pairs of caliper arms giving independent, perpendicular X-Y diameter measurements, while a magnetometer/accelerometer orientation system provides the borehole azimuth, inclination and X-Y arm directions. In a non-circular borehole, because of differing spring tensions in the two pairs of arms, the tool will rotate in the borehole until the X-Y directions coincide with the maximum and minimum diameter axes. Where a borehole becomes ovalised or develops breakout-type features, it can provide information on stress magnitudes and directions within the geological formations. As an option, the probe can be supplied with a natural gamma detector to provide additional lithological information or for horizon correlation purposes. - Heat Pulse Flowmeter probe | LIM LOGGING
The FTC60 probe provides precise readings of the flow speed of the fluid, the temperature and the electrical conductivity contained in the borehole. FTC60: Temperature/Conductivity/Flow The FTC60 probe provides precise readings of the temperature, electrical conductivity and flow speed of the fluid contained in the borehole. Its main applications are in obtaining groundwater quality and production data in hydrogeological or pollution studies , either on a single or multi-well regional basis. Another possible application is the detection of setting cement by means of the heat given off during this process; for example in a borehole after casing installation and grouting or in quality control of cement piling works. The lightweight impeller and low friction bearing assembly permit this probe to react almost instantly to any vertical movement within the fluid column of a well or borehole. The direction of flow relative to the probe can be determined from the sense of rotation of the impeller. Contact us to get a quote or request more information.
