The MiniLIM is a drilling parameter recorder. Mainly used in special and deep foundations, geotechnics, CPT, injection, jet grouting, pressuremeter, lugeon, CFA piles and more. ScanLIM LIBS - JV LIM-ABLATOM Our ScanLIM LIBS option project aims to combine high-precision optical digitisation for the geologist and the metal content of drill cores for the miner by miniaturising LIBS (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) technology. The economic aim of our project is to make this dual tool (optical and LIBS technology) transportable, so as to reduce sample (core) analysis times by being as close as possible to the drilling machine. All that will be required is a basic shelter such as a site core box with a power source. This proximity between the core extraction site and the on-site optical and LIBS analysis of the samples will save time and money, as it avoids the need to send all or part of the core boxes to the Chemical Analysis Laboratory to obtain the desired results. GUIP38, Focused resistivity probe, Guard log. GUIP38: Focused Electric The defining element of the GUIP38 probe, the use of a pair of equipotential “guard” electrodes, ensures a reliable formation resistivity measurement by focussing the injected current in a way that maximises vertical resolution and penetration into the formations while avoiding dissipation in the borehole fluid. As well as providing high-resolution and full-range focussed resistivity measurements, an onboard processor calculates formation conductivity (in mmho/m) and capacitance (µF) values. Due to focussing of the injection current, this method allows a resolution of thinner layers compared to a log of the traditional “normal” type. The othe r advantage of this method lies in the fact that it is suitable for difficult hole conditions (salt mud).
